A basket strainer is a device that uses a mesh screen to filter out foreign particles in a horizontal pipeline. These particles are then removed from the strainer and will not make their way into downstream equipment like pumps, valves, and traps.
A disc filter is a type of water filter used primarily in irrigation, similar to a screen filter, except that the filter cartridge is made of a number of plastic discs stacked on top of each other like a pile of poker chips. Each disc is covered with small grooves or bumps.
A hydraulic filter is a component within a hydraulic system that removes damaging particulates by forcing hydraulic fluid through a porous filter element. The filter element catches contaminants and prevents them from re-entering the fluid flow and damaging other pieces of equipment further downstream
Filter Cartridge is considered the heart of filter; it is inserted inside the housing and used to remove the contaminant/particles from water. The fluid enters from the inlet nozzle of housing and with the help of pressure, the fluid enters the cartridges which separates the contaminant/particles from the fluid.
A hydraulic filter helps to remove these particles and clean the oil on a continuous basis. The performance for every hydraulic filter is measured by its contamination removal efficiency, i.e. high dirt-holding capacities. Almost every hydraulic system contains more than one hydraulic filter.
